Family Leadership Action Network (FLAN) is a network of families working to promote the voices of families in order to influence the policies and the programs that affect them. FLAN builds on each family's strengths and knowledge and celebrates diversity. FLAN works for positive, family-friendly changes to systems that eliminate stereotyping and assumptions about the families they serve. FLAN promotes the importance of collaboration and relationship building to create positive outcomes for families, children, and communities.

Our Mission: To place the voices and issues of children and families at the top of New Mexico's agenda.

This conference offers opportunities to:

  • Help families get involved in their children's education
  • Learn to navigate the special education system
  • Gain insight and tools to navigate the medical system
  • Network with other families around the state; and
  • Make your voice count for children & families!
